Material and structure working together
Orapac and Bestpak combine carton, mini- and micro-flute with stronger corrugated board grades. This allows us to select material for the entire application – from smaller consumer packaging with premium offset print to a large storage or transport box.
Carton
Orapac works with a broad range of carton grades made from both recycled and virgin fibre. Typical material thicknesses are approximately 300–1,000 micrometres. Material is selected for the product requirements and end use; carton is particularly suitable where low weight, formability and a smooth printing surface matter.
Mini- and micro-flute
Orapac manufactures F-flute (micro-flute) and E-flute (mini-flute). F-flute is especially useful when thin, visually premium packaging needs more structure and protection than conventional carton, but the load does not require coarser transport corrugated board. Material and structure are always adapted to the product.
Robust corrugated board
BestPak offers E-, B-, C- and BC-flute. The coarser B-, C- and BC-flute profiles are typically used for transport packaging, storage boxes and heavier products that require greater rigidity, impact cushioning and transport protection. The exact grade is specified for the product and the complete logistics chain.
Offset-printed carton and corrugated packaging
Our five-colour offset press provides high precision for images, tonal work and brand colours. For corrugated packaging, a carton liner is normally printed first and then laminated to E- or F-flute. Flexographic printing is primarily used directly on corrugated board, while digital printing offers flexibility for short runs, prototypes and versioned artwork.
By combining the right material, structure and printing technology, we create packaging that runs reliably in production, protects the goods and communicates clearly in store or on delivery.
Design, prototypes and warehousing
Developed for the process
We assess the product, filling, packing line, stacking, transport and visual identity. We then create the structure, CAD drawing, 3D model and, where needed, a physical prototype. The aim is to reduce material, void space and packing time without compromising protection.
Deliveries to match demand
We manufacture small and large runs. Under a warehousing agreement, a larger production batch can be stored with us and delivered in agreed instalments, combining good unit economics with lower storage requirements for the customer.
Frequently asked questions about carton and corrugated board
When are custom dimensions useful?
We use standardised structures including FEFCO and ECMA designs, as well as fully customised special structures. Each structure is adapted to the product, packing process, logistics and application.
Can packaging carry custom printing?
Yes. We offer offset, flexographic and digital printing. The method is selected for the material, volume, artwork and quality requirements, and artwork can be updated between production runs.
How is transport packaging selected?
We do not publish general weight limits for flute profiles. Box dimensions and structure, product shape, weight and weight distribution, stacking, humidity, transport and other loads determine the grade specified for each application.
Are the materials recyclable?
Carton and corrugated board are fibre-based and can be materially recycled when kept clean and sorted according to local instructions. An optimised structure also reduces material consumption.
How quickly can you deliver?
Lead time depends on structure, printing, material and quantity. We agree the design, prototype, production and any stocked deliveries with the customer.
