ORAPAC · ORAVAIS
Orapac – from idea to finished customer packaging
In Oravais, Orapac manufactures small and medium-sized paperboard and corrugated packaging in a production flow that combines structure, function and high print quality.
The work begins with the product dimensions, protection requirements and visual identity. Structures and prototypes are verified before the artwork proceeds to prepress, printing, die-cutting, gluing and any required finishing.
Offset printing is one of Orapac’s particular strengths when colour reproduction, fine detail and brand impact are decisive. Digital printing adds flexibility for prototypes, shorter runs and versioned designs. Material, print registration, die-cutting and glue seams are checked throughout every order before delivery.
ORAPAC’S CORRUGATED NICHE
Our own corrugator and litho-lamination for sharper print quality
Orapac produces its own lightweight F-flute (microflute) and E-flute (mini-flute) corrugated board. This gives us control over both the flute quality and the printed surface.
Conventional post-print applies ink directly to finished corrugated board. Orapac instead offset-prints the liner first as a flat, smooth sheet and then litho-laminates the printed sheet to single-face corrugated board. Because printing takes place before the liner is applied to the flute, the corrugated structure does not affect the printing surface. The result is a smoother surface, sharper detail, better colour reproduction and a more refined visual finish.
Offset-printed liner
The design is printed on a flat liner with high precision in detail and colour.
F- or E-flute
Our own corrugator produces microflute or mini-flute to suit the packaging structure.
Litho-lamination
The printed liner is bonded to single-face corrugated board to create a stable packaging material.
Die-cutting and gluing
The laminated sheet is die-cut, creased and glued into the finished package.
Structural design and prepress
We adapt dimensions, material and structure to the product. Prepress verifies colours, images, bleeds and technical details before printing starts.
Offset and digital printing
Offset delivers high, consistent print quality for consumer-facing packaging. Digital printing adds speed and flexibility for shorter runs.
Die-cutting, gluing and finishing
After printing, the blank is die-cut to its exact shape, creased and glued. Windows, coatings, foiling or embossing can be added when required.
Quality and delivery
Materials and dimensions are checked throughout the process. Finished packaging is packed efficiently and can be delivered in agreed batches or combined with storage.
BESTPAK · TAMPERE REGION & KIHNIÖ
Robust corrugated production at two locations
Bestpak complements Orapac with larger, stronger corrugated packaging for warehousing, transport, logistics and retail. Its production facilities in the Tampere region and Kihniö cover approximately 6,000 m² in total.
The machinery handles both short and long runs with flexographic printing, slotting, die-cutting and gluing. Structures can be tested at the quotation stage, while specialist machinery makes many standard box styles economical without high start-up costs.
Printing, die-cutting and gluing
Professional skill at every machine stage produces clean print, accurate dimensions and durable glued seams.
Efficient short runs
Specialist machinery makes many box styles cost-effective even in smaller quantities.
Controlled quality
Print, registration and the finished structure are checked against an approved sample during production.
From blank to finished box
The blank is printed and slotted, folded along its crease lines, glued, bundled and prepared for palletising and delivery.
ONE PRODUCTION NETWORK
The right production route for every package
Orapac’s high-quality offset and digital printing for smaller, consumer-facing packaging combines with Bestpak’s capacity for larger and stronger corrugated solutions. Together, we select the right factory, material, printing technology and production method for packaging of every size.
